It is extremely unlikely that a sleeping person would somehow inadvertently type "zzzzzzzzzzz" into the comments field of a blog.
It feels good to have other people consider you "interesting," unless those people are any kind of medical professionals.
This was the best sign I saw at the march on Saturday:

Thanks to Bas for the picture.

Fruit, like freedom, isn't free. Sometimes you've gotta fight for it, and sometimes while you're in the midst of that struggle it might, for a time, become necessary to hide behind a little fort made out of couch cushions.
As usual, my mouth is opened the widest of anybody.
Thanks to Mara for the picture
Thanks to Victoria for the picture.
Pike and Broadway, last night. Photos ganked from the Stranger:

Callin' out around the world
Are you ready for a brand new beat?
Summer's here and the time is right
For dancin' in the streets
They're dancin' in Chicago
Down in New Orleans
Up in New York City
All we need is music, sweet music
There'll be music everywhere
There'll be swingin', swayin' and records playin'
And dancin' in the streets
Oh, it doesn't matter what you wear
Just as long as you are there
So come on, every guy grab a girl
Everywhere around the world
There'll be dancin'
They're dancin' in the street
This is an invitation
Across the nation
A chance for the folks to meet
There'll be laughin' and singin' and music swingin'
And dancin' in the streets
Philadelphia, P.A. (Philadelphia, P.A.)
Baltimore and DC now (Baltimore and DC now)
Yeah don't forget the Motor City (can't forget the Motor City)
All we need is music, sweet music
There'll be music everywhere
There'll be swingin', swayin' and records playin'
And dancin' in the street, yeah
Oh, it doesn't matter what you wear
Just as long as you are there
So come on, every guy grasp a girl
Everywhere around the world
There'll be dancin'
They're dancin' in the streets
Philadelphia, P.A. (Philadelphia, P.A.)
Baltimore and DC now (Baltimore and DC now)
Yeah don't forget the Motor City (can't forget the Motor City)
All the way down in L.A. California
Not to mention Halifax Nova Scotia
Manchester
Alexandria, Virginia, Virginia

Srsly. A toast to my wrongness!
Tonight I am happy. Tomorrow, back to work.
It's been a long time since I felt happy about politics.
Also? Just now, as I was brushing my teeth to get ready to go to bed, I dropped my toothbrush in the toilet. Life goes on.
...if we live in a real democracy, or just a make-believe democracy. Cross your fingers.
Shenanigan Addendum: When reliable sources point out that exit polls are notoriously unreliable, the "pattern" of unreliability to which they refer is generally a pattern established in two separate election cycles: 2000 and 2004. Prior to that exit polls were substantially more reliable predictors of electoral outcomes. Make of that what you will.
" Dirty tricks increase as Election Day nears."
Although the headline sounds non-partisan, all the dirty tricks listed here are evidently being carried out by Republicans. There is a brief mention in the closing paragraphs of dirty tricks carried out in the primaries against Giuliani and Thompson, which means that sometimes Republicans are the targets of these deceptive tactics -- when they run against other Republicans.
The McCain campaign is currently claiming that 10% of voters remain undecided, and that the majority of these will break for their candidate. As far as I know they have no real numbers to back up this assertion. I mean, by definition "undecided" would seem to indicate that nobody knows how they will vote.
It is exactly the sort of statement one would expect from a campaign that was now in damage control mode, trying to encourage the base to show up tomorrow and vote so that a loss of the Presidency does not cascade down the ticket and affect other races.
It is also exactly the sort of statement that one would expect from a campaign that is seeding the ground for an election result that is six or seven points off from the polls.
Obama's aunt is an illegal alien.
Candidate 'unaware.'
The timing of this revelation is certainly interesting. In other news: McCain picks up Dick Cheney's endorsement, but doesn't appear to want it.
